Cost of Functional Medicine Tests
At AUSCFM, we believe in a proactive approach and rely on testing rather than guessing. That’s why your functional medicine tests are so important in uncovering the source of your symptoms or conditions. While Medicare covers a range of advanced diagnostic tests, unfortunately, not all functional medicine tests are covered.
You begin your testing journey with Medicare rebates and progress to comprehensive evaluations that analyse multiple systems within your body. We offer several testing options, from entry-level assessments to advanced workups. Costs range from as low as $100 and work their way up to $2500 in advanced cases. Your care team will clarify and work with you on these costs so you’ll know exactly what to expect before you proceed.

What is included in my AUSCFM care plan?
Our holistic, personalised 12-month wellness journey goes beyond surface-level treatments to uncover the root causes of your health concerns. By understanding your unique symptoms, conditions, lifestyle, and goals, we develop a customised plan to resolve underlying issues and empower you to achieve optimal health and happiness. Your care plan includes:
- Twelve comprehensive medical visits with your AUSCFM doctor and or health coach.
- Case reviews to present your medical questionnaires, including your symptom score index (SSI), and to implement your treatment, dietary and lifestyle interventions.
- Follow-ups to track and measure your (SSI) symptom score index, order further testing if required, and adjust and implement further nutritional and lifestyle interventions.
- Medicare rebated testing.

What is not included in my care plan?
Advanced testing is not included in your care plan. Medicare covers a range of diagnostic tests but not all test performed by AUSCFM are covered. Speciality testing like breath, stool, and urine are not included in your membership and costs for such tests may vary – on average, prices can range from as low as $100 to a higher cost of $2500! However, your care team will provide clarity around these costs so you’ll know exactly what to expect before you proceed.
How much does an AUSCFM care plan cost?
An annual membership is $2149 upfront which is a saving of $239, or you can pay $199 per month in monthly instalments annually, a total is ($2388).
Can I renew my AUSCFM care plan?
Enjoy peace of mind knowing your complete care plan is set to automatically renew every year. We’ll give you a friendly reminder one month before the membership expiration date, giving you the option to opt-out or make any necessary changes.
What happens if I have remaining visits after my care plan is finished?
Efficiently managing your healthcare is important, and we understand that. While your visits won’t roll over to the next year, you have ample time to make the most of your 12-month membership. In case you need any assistance or have some questions, feel free to get in touch with your care team via your AUSCFM portal. We’re here to help!
What does unlimited secure messaging mean?
As a valued member, you can stay connected with your medical team through unlimited messaging. Our team consists of medical providers, health coaches, and care managers, all at your fingertips. However, we encourage you to take advantage of booking a medical visit with your provider for a more personalised and thorough approach. Your health is our top priority and we are always here to support you.
