Functional medicine doctors take an in-depth look at your overall health, providing personalised treatment to provide the most significant benefit for your situation.

With a comprehensive yet streamlined approach, we strive to provide the utmost certainty as to what may be causing your health issues – so you can get back on track as quickly as possible. Through your journey with AUSCFM, you will gain knowledge, education, and a deeper understanding of how your body works internally and in response to the outside world.

Starting Your Journey

The AUSCFM team is dedicated to providing you with the best possible care, which starts with understanding your unique situation. Our in-depth medical questionnaires help us understand the full picture of your health, including your history, symptoms, and lifestyle. With this information, our team can recommend the most effective testing for you. We want to ensure you have all the resources necessary to make the best decisions about your health.

2nd

Your Telehealth Appointment

Your telehealth appointment is your first opportunity to connect with your doctor and care team. During your 30—to 40-minute phone call, we comprehensively investigate your health history, assess your current symptoms and conditions, and gain insight into your lifestyle habits, such as movement, diet, sleep, and stress levels. We then work together to identify your health goals and expectations.

Following your appointment, we offer detailed information with recommended medical testing options. We rely on testing rather than making assumptions, so these tests are essential to uncover the source of your symptoms or conditions.

Assessment and Testing

Following your telehealth appointment, you complete your doctor-recommended bloodwork and any advanced specialty testing specific to your symptoms and health goals. Our comprehensive approach is unique in that we test your body as a fully integrated system of multiple systems. We provide a one-stop shop for testing and treating several chronic conditions at once.

With a better sense of your chief complaints, necessary body system checks are undertaken to develop a complete portrait of your health. Your nutrition and lifestyle are also considered to gain insight into how likely you are to respond positively or negatively to particular treatment methods. All this data helps us determine a course of action that may achieve the best possible outcome for you.

Your Personalised Treatment Plan

Following the review and analysis of your data and test results, our team of specialists develop a unique treatment plan specifically for you. Your insights are welcome to help identify the cause of any symptoms you may be experiencing. We aim to work with you to help you achieve optimal health and vitality. That’s why building a positive connection with your doctor and care team is essential in your journey toward improved health.

Your personalised health plan is tailored to address your underlying conditions and may include any combination of expert dietary advice, botanicals, nutraceuticals, medications, and lifestyle improvements. Outcomes for you could include better nutrition, improved sleep, effective stress management, and incorporating healthy movement into your daily routine—a combination that is, in most cases, essential to improving your overall well-being.

What is the AUSCFM approach to prescription medication?

At AUSCFM, we understand the immense power and importance of prescription drugs in modern medicine. Our team of highly trained medical professionals hold the necessary licenses to prescribe medication in Australia. However, we also recognise that many drugs only manage symptoms and may come with unpleasant side effects. As advocates for root-cause resolution medicine, our ultimate goal is to only prescribe medication when it is necessary to address the underlying cause of a condition. At AUSCFM, we prioritise the well-being of our patients and strive to provide the most effective, personalised care possible.

What is the AUSCFM approach to supplementation?

Supplements are more than just a trendy addition to your health regimen. They are powerful tools that need to be taken seriously when it comes to safety, quality, effectiveness, and relevance. Our team of doctors is dedicated to providing high-quality, safe-tested supplements that are third-party-validated. These supplements are typically only available through licensed medical providers. We prescribe supplements that work effectively for treating microbial imbalances in the gut, addressing nutrient deficiencies, and balancing blood sugar that are indicated to work for the conditions they support. Our selection process is highly selective and cautious, but we have found that supplements can be more effective than conventional drug therapies alone.

How do I purchase supplements from AUSCFM?

Experience the ultimate wellness journey at AUSCFM, where we partner with our full dispensary partner (Sole Formulations) who offer a wide array of health products for purchase. As a valued AUSCFM member, you’ll enjoy an exclusive discount of 10% on your purchases. Our doctors go above and beyond to tailor your experience by recommending the right supplements and vitamins that align with your personalised health plan.

Can my AUSCFM doctor provide medications?

Prescription drugs hold immense power in the world of medicine, and are integral to the healing process. They’re touted as one of the most crucial tools in the medical toolkit, and are regularly prescribed by healthcare professionals. Although some medications require specialist management, our doctors have all undergone extensive training in traditional medical schools and have the necessary licensing to prescribe pharmaceutical medication. We firmly believe prescription drugs represent an essential element of healthcare, and are proud to offer them as a powerful tool in modern medicine.
